Tiwest is currently undertaking a number of mineral sands exploration projects in the areas surrounding its Cooljarloo operations north of Perth. As the Cooljarloo mineral resources are progressively depleted, Tiwest's Dongara project will be developed for mining. The Project Geologist role is based at our Chandala operations in Muchea about 60km north of the CBD. This position operates on a Drive in Drive out 9 day fortnight (Mon-Fri, Mon-Thurs) with travel to Dongara and the Cooljarloo mine when required.

Reporting to the Group Leader of Resource Development, your key responsibilities would include: 

• Assist the Group Leader with planning and coordinating the exploration programme for the Project.
• Provide clear direction for geological work and proactively manage field exploration activities.
• Ensure Tiwest’s safety and procedural requirements are met on the drill rig whist minimising harm to the environment.
• Using ArcGIS to compile maps for the government exploration approvals process.
• Assist with geological data management, both computer based and hard copy.
• Using Vulcan, view and interpret (wireframe) the drill data to ensure error-free information for resource models.
• Assist with resource modelling, budgeting and other geological activities as required.
