Here's what we need from you:
- Qualification/s in software engineering or IT
- Detailed understanding of SQL Server RDBMS and advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server environments
- Knowledge of the global natural resources sector, specifically mining and geology would be beneficial
- A passport, as there will be travel opportunities, both locally and also overseas
- The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, to all levels of the organisation
The fine print of this gig:
You will report to the regional Operations Manager and be based at our Johannesburg office in South Africa. Your role will be to shape our industry standard software and you will be required to:- Develop and maintain expert GIM Suite knowledge
- Provide users with technical support on the GIM Suite solution
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering workshops
- Advise on Geological Information Management best practice and design a GIM Suite configuration to satisfy the client requirements
- Implement the GIM Suite solution
- Train GIM Suite users
