Civmec is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Construction Estimator to join our Proposals division in Henderson, WA. Within this role you will be involved in the tender process from review of tender documentation through to tender submission. • Aiming to further the Company's profitability and reputation for excellence and professionalism
Position includes the:
- Review tender documentation to determine scope and specific terms and conditions
- Prepare and coordinate subcontract components required for tender submissions
- Obtain highly competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services
- Undertake accurate material take-offs and calculation of man hour estimates, and mobilisation / demobilisation costs
- Assist with construction scheduling and planning
- Develop construction methodology identifying synergies and saving
- Demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar role, working with engineering and construction contractors in the construction, mining and resource industries on large scale projects
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with their co-workers and management
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or quantity surveying
- Expanding portfolio of diverse work across multiple industries in a range of national locations
