The opportunity
Civmec are currently seeking Planners to join our Project teams various FIFO locations in Australia. These role is project based on a 3 / 1 roster.

The project –
With upcoming projects due to commence in mid 2018, Civmec are currently seeking Construction Planners. These positions will suit those with extensive construction experience in the metals and minerals, and infrastructure sectors, ideally within an EPC or contractor background.
In a Planner role at Civmec, you will –
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Preparation and issue of weekly status reports
  • Monitor and review design changes to assess the effect on project budget and schedule
  • Assist in the preparation of progress claims and variations
  • Attend regular progress meetings with both internal and external project stakeholders
  • Preparation of work schedules and material requisitions

About You –
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil engineering or construction management
  • Previous project experience on construction projects ideally in the mining, or infrastructure sector is essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
