Having recently been awarded a major package of work for a process facility in far north Queensland, Civmec is currently seeking applications for highly capable and experienced Civil Project Engineer & Senior Civil Project Engineer for FIFO-based opportunities.

Our current opportunity
Having recently been awarded a major package of work for a process facility in far north Queensland, Civmec is currently seeking applications for highly capable and experienced Civil Project Engineer & Senior Civil Project Engineer for FIFO-based opportunities.
- These roles are available immediately
- Rosters will be on a 20:8 basis
- You will ideally be based in Brisbane or Cairns (not mandatory)
- Managing a diverse crew across operations including civil works, HDPE piping and liners and detailed trenching
- Liaising with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
- Preparation of work schedules and material requisitions
- Review and approve technical deviation/query requests and maintain TDQR register
- Managing onsite resources including plant and equipment and accountability for material control
- Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil engineering or construction management
- RPEQ or Engineering Australia certification
- Previous project experience on civil construction projects ideally in the mining or oil and gas sector
- Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale civil construction projects
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to health and safety and a team first approach
- Have experience working on detailed trenching and HDPE piping activities
- A strong understanding of project life cycle activities and the administration experience to support a diverse area of operations
- Large resource sector experience on key infrastructure project
- Expanding portfolio of diverse work across multiple sectors
- Experienced and supportive senior management team
