Our current opportunity
Having recently been awarded a major package of work for a process facility in far north Queensland, Civmec is currently seeking expressions of interest from highly capable and experienced Steel Fixers for FIFO-based opportunities from Brisbane or Cairns. Rosters will be on a 20:8 basis.

You will possess:
- You will be based in Brisbane or Cairns (Cairns highly desirable) or be prepared to make your way to these points of hire
- Physical fitness, strength and stamina with the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical
- Demonstrated experience within the construction, mining and resource industries
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to health and safety and a team first approach
- Certificate III or higher qualification in steel fixing or equivalent in a similar role
- Highly experienced in positioning and securing steel reinforcing bars and steel mesh in reinforced concrete on construction projects
- Sound interpretation skills with structural drawings
- Valid White Card/Construction Card
- 2 year’s minimum experience on a construction site in the same role
- Valid Elevated Work Platform competency essential
- Confined Space (Desirable)
- Flights provided from Brisbane or Cairns to the project site
- Large resource sector experience on key infrastructure project
- Expanding portfolio of diverse work across multiple sectors
- Experienced and supportive senior management team
