With upcoming projects due to commence progressively into 2017, Civmec are currently seeking highly experienced a HR / IR Advisor with a background in site base human resource and employee relations service delivery for site based project work.
In this role you will be the first point of contact for the project delivery team in all employee lifecycle areas including policy, procedure, enterprise agreement and legislative requirements.
This role would suit someone with a history of working with project delivery teams within remote site locations.
This role requires a hard working solutions focused team player with experience in engaging with local communities and achieving successful indigenous participation objectives.

Role Requirements:
- Manage the obligations of project employee relations management plan commitments to ensure compliance
- Provide strong and confident ER advice to support project delivery teams and employees
- A pro-active appropriate to driving company initiatives
- A strong influence and partnering approach to mutually successful outcomes for Civmec and our Clients
- Compilation and / or ensuring compliance with all necessary employee related letters, forms and administration requirements in accordance with Civmec and Client requirements.
- Strong workforce planning capabilities with a strong communication approach to keeping people informed and their contribution consistent
- Provide advice to staff on the effective management of an employee lifecycle process, which may include but not be limited to employee relations, enterprise agreements, contracts of employment, payroll queries, performance management, EEO, counselling, discipline and termination.
- Manage and track, in conjunction with operational project delivery team’s, attendance and absenteeism and ensure our duty of care obligations are met.
- Participate and or contribute to onsite inductions and new starting onboarding upon mobilization.
- Take ownership of daily content with work crews to establish and maintain relationships
- Undertake, as required, special projects, investigation and research on human resources related matters
- Participate in investigations related to unfair dismissal / adverse action, AHRC claims and attendance to FWC if required.
- Target local and indigenous participation across every level of our projects.
- Formal qualifications human resources management or a related field are essential
- Minimum 3-5 years’ previous experience in a similar/same role
- Performance based experience within the metals and minerals and infrastructure sectors ensuring milestones are achieved and client expectations are exceeded is essential
- Remote site experience preferred
- The right to work in Australia
- Proven knowledge and experience in the application and relevant employment legislation
- Proven experience in enterprise agreement compliance and indigenous participation strategies a must.
