Our current opportunity

In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join our team based in our Newcastle office. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the successful applicant will manage a diverse portfolio of recruitment activity including our Newcastle facility and NSW based project recruitment for both white and blue collar. Those with a strong background and understanding of large volume, blue collar recruitment within the construction industry will be looked upon favourably. A full time position, this role will work closely with project teams to understand forecast recruitment needs, develop relationships and talent pools within the local market, delivery end to end recruitment services and provide high level reporting to our internal stakeholders.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Drafting of advertisements and managing role specific talent pools
  • Candidate management through the recruitment process
  • Collection and storage of pre-recruitment documentation
  • Conducting interviews and reference checks
  • Database maintenance including updating of candidate’s progress
  • Ongoing communication and engagement with key stakeholders
  • Compliance to the businesses recruitment process
  • Formal weekly reporting and issue escalation
  • Talent pool activities
  • Development of role specific sourcing strategies
  • Support and manage on boarding activities
You will:
  • Possess experience with ERMS, flight booking systems and applicant tracking software
  • Have experience with both white and blue collar recruitment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional time management skills coupled with a self-starter attitude
  • Knowledge of industry relevant tickets, licenses and qualifications will be advantageous
