Our current opportunity

In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager to help support, lead and grow this new and exciting area of the business. Tasked with engaging new clients and cultivating relationships, this role will work closely with the Water and Energy General Manager in a standalone business unit. Successful applicants can expect a wide range of project work in diverse locations, a variety of clients, and expect to work across full project life cycles, from identifying prospects through to project execution and handover.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Support and design work winning strategies and client engagement strategies
  • Actively manage EOI, RFQ and RFP processes
  • Create execution plans and constructability methodologies 
  • Manageestimating team input and provide reviews
  • Lead project kickoff and site establishment activities
  • Where prospect leads to Project Management role - full accountability for project execution through a range of delivery models
  • Succession planning to effectively grow the business and capability
  • Lead, develop, coach and mentor existing and future team members including building the businesses capability
  • Manage project based HSE, HR and Quality areas as relates to area of accountability

You will:
  • Possess a qualification in construction management, engineering or similar field with min 10 year experience
  • Demonstrate proven experience within the fields of, primarily renewables; with water and/or conventional energy experience; with an Australian based contractor
  • Good technical proficiency in the renewable area (solar, wind, tidal, other)
  • Good understanding of entire project scope – inclusive of civil/structural, mechanical, electrical/ICA
  • Bid lead experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels with strong people leadership skills
