Our current opportunity

In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced Senior SMP Project Engineer to join our team on a FIFO basis (3/1 roster) on a major WA construction and engineering project:


Key Accountabilities include:

• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
• Conduct material take-offs for mechanical, structural and piping works
• Conduct weekly meetings
• Compile and issue variations 
• Assist with preparing the project budget and schedule
• Compile lift studies
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
• Oversee a team of Project Engineers providing back-to-back support for the Project Manager.

You will:

• Possess a relevant Degree in a related engineering discipline
• Minimum five years project engineering experience with a reputable SMP Contractor or EPC 
• Previous site-based SMP experience associated with process plant facilities, preferably with exposure to fabrication and installation projects in the mining industry
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a high pressure environment.
