Our current opportunity

In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced IT Infrastructure / Systems Engineer to join our team. Based in Newcastle, the successful applicant will be responsible for the administration of ICT infrastructure and Technical Support services supporting the business.

What will I do:
  • Liaise with System Administrator regarding system capacity and resource management for future planning and day-to-day processes
  • Support and administer all network services to ensure high performance and availability, including, Switches, Routers, Firewall, Mobile and Wireless devices
  • Support the organisations desktop and mobile devices using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including patch management, software distribution and operating system deployment.
  • Managing escalations with vendors and service providers covering all enterprise hardware and software
  • Creating and maintaining documentation such as technical design & configurations, operating procedures, guides
  • Provide direct manager with ongoing reports of project control and progress in accordance with budgets and agreed objectives
  • Recommend improvements to continuously advance capability and efficiency economically
You will:
  • Possess a tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification (preferred)
  • 7 + years' experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or Infrastructure Consulting role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
