Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare contract templates based on the project contract documentation
  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Director to review contractual obligations and contract templates
  • Attend weekly site/office meetings
  • Advise client and relevant parties of notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and or supplier agreements required for the project
  • Provide support to the Project Manager and Project Management Teams to prepare and forward relevant notices within designated timeframes
  • Update and maintain notices of delay and extensions of time registers
  • Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation)
  • Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors highlighting relevant issues specific to the project
  • Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Provide, check and follow change in the scope and survey the quantities for final claim of remeasure
  • Prepare, price and costed the variations, Extensions of Time and quotation.
  • Provide assistance to the Project Director in respect of monthly cost reporting and project progress/performance.
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
Skills and experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying/Accounting, Construction Management or similar field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in Quantity Surveying/Contracts Administration within the civil construction industry is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience composing contractual letters
