Our current opportunity

In light of our continued growth, Civmec currently have a fulltime opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Expeditor to join our team based at our headquarters and state-of-the-art waterfront facilities adjacent to the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Review progress of production of materials and provide expediting reports
  • Ensure that suppliers comply with requirements for MDR Process
  • Review the performance of suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis and particularly at project completion
  • Monitor suppliers QA performance
  • Inspect materials and equipment in accordance with the terms and conditions and specifications of the purchase order or contract
  • Liaise with internal staff as required to seek clarification on a technical specifications & inspection requirements
  • Ensure all vendor quality commitments are met and ensure Final Inspection Release certification in accordance with project requirements is provided to the contractor / vendor prior to release of goods from the care of the contractor / vendor. 
  • Provide reports showing progressive and final packing configurations of all consignments prior to shipment.
  • Document movement of materials from Civmec yard to various subcontractors and delivery to site and client handover

About you

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in a similar role, preferably working in a large fabrication workshop environment
  • Excellent organisational skills demonstrating ability to set and meet scheduling timelines
  • Experience of supply chain function within project environment
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with their co-workers and management
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
