  • Can you see yourself guiding and mentoring apprentices towards becoming qualified Formwork Carpenters and Concrete Finishers?
  • Are you passionate about transferring your knowledge and experience to the next crop of Civil tradespeople?
Civmec are passionate about contributing to the creation of employment opportunities in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. Together with our extensive knowledge and experience, Civmec’s new, state of the art pre-cast facility in Tomago enables us to engage with the local community by providing employment training opportunities.
As such, Civmec are recruiting an Trade Skills Mentor to manage this program in a hands-on manner, working with trainees as they strive to become Formwork Carpenters and Concreters. Based from our Tomago facility, this position requires a proven civil trade background, and trade qualifications are essential. 
About you -
  • 10+ years’ practical experience in the civils / construction industry
  • Civil trade qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge surrounding pre-cast concrete / formwork carpentry
  • Enthusiasm to deliver top-quality training, mentoring and skills development to trainees
  • Leadership course qualifications will be highly regarded
