Our current opportunity
In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced Fabrication Engineer to join our team. The position is based in Henderson for a duration of 3 months with possible extensions.
Key accountabilities include:
  • Process material take-offs
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Produce as-built drawings for fabrication works
  • Arrange method statements and prepare work packs as required
  • Organise project testing requirements
  • Compose weekly progress reports
  • Update schedules as required
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
You will:
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, civil engineering or construction management
  • Previous project experience on fabrication and installation projects ideally in the mining, oil and gas sector
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience working at onshore or offshore construction sites
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is essential
