Our current opportunity
In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for all construction experienced trades located in Darwin. The project is FIFO on a 3/1 roster and based in Tennant Creek, NT.
We are currently seeking expressions of interests from applications that reside in Darwin for various trades:
- Boilermakers
- Advanced Riggers
- Electricians
- Mechanical Fitters
- Pipe Welders
- Crane Operators
- Pipe Fitters
- Commissioning Trades
About the Project
The Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) is a 622km Gas Pipeline that will run between Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory and Mt Isa in Queensland and is being constructed by Jemena.
Civmec has been engaged to lead and construct this complex project, once complete this project could be the key to solve the East coast energy crisis.
The Federal Government has commenced a study on the possible development of a pipeline from Western Australia to the eastern states, one of the critical elements of a possible national gas market. This is a great opportunity for South Australians where huge prospects could be made available for years to come. Compressor stations are used on a pipe line route and are used to push the gas from station to station until it reaches its destination.
The fly in fly out roster to Tennent creek NT is 3 week on and 1 week off.

You will:
- Minimum two (2) years of continuous Civil or SMP Construction experience
- Experience working in the FIFO environment in remote locations
- Experience working alongside and assistant various Mechanical Trades
- Elevated Work Platform ticket (desirable)
- Working at heights ticket (desirable)
- Construction Blue / White Card
- Australian recognized Trade certificate (If applicable to your role)
- High risk work licence (If applicable to your role)
- Reside in Darwin
- Expanding portfolio of diverse work across multiple industries in a range of national locations
