The opportunity
Civmec are currently seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to join our EPC project team in the delivery of a filter facility. This role is local (not FIFO) and will suit those who reside south of Perth.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, this position is integral to the project’s mechanical construction, as well as being part of the project leadership team.

The project –
Our project is a significant EPC contract, located on an existing mine site south of Perth. The project scope includes engineering, procurement, delivery, construction, integration, commissioning and performance testing of a filter facility and materials handling system.

In a Mechanical Superintendent role at Civmec, you will –
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and other Superintendent disciplines to ensure successful management of scheduling and project delivery, both day to day and via forecasting
  • Utilise your technical and practical knowledge to have input into construction methodology and work packs
  • Establish effective working relationships with direct reports; providing clear direction and supervision of their work to achieve great results
  • Champion Civmec’s HSE processes, values, and our Never Assume campaign, to ensure safe project delivery
About You –
  • Mechanical trade qualification is essential, with supervisory training preferred
  • 5 years+ project execution experience in the EPC or contractor space on medium to large scale mining construction projects is required
  • Display a high level of knowledge of all aspects of mechanical construction including standard practices, tools and terminology
  • Enjoy the challenging and dynamic environment that on site construction brings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and leadership capability
  • You need to have the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
