The opportunity
Civmec is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join one of our flagship projects located in regional Western Australia, FIFO from Perth on a 3:1 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will focus on the construction of Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) components on the lithium process plant.

The opportunity

As a Construction Superintendent, you will
- Monitor and guide supervision and direct employees to ensure their compliance with the HSE Plan
- Ensure that safety is an integral component of all construction planning and processes
- Be familiar with construction of SMP mining components and permit procedures and statutory requirements
- Provide direction and support for supervisors on people management and day to day construction
- Plan work activities and identify hazards and controls in consultation with employees
- Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections and project scheduling
- Execute the construction portion of project plans through detailed planning and day-to-day direction of field activities
- Relevant qualification(s) such as trade certificate or engineering diploma
- Construction safety card
- Extensive construction experience within the mining industry
- Previous experience working on a remote construction site
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
