The opportunity
Civmec is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of our flagship projects located in regional Western Australia, FIFO from Perth on a 3:1 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be focusing on the commercial requirements of the project, evaluating quantities and developing relevant reports.

The opportunity
Civmec is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of our flagship projects located in regional Western Australia, FIFO from Perth on a 3:1 roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be focusing on the commercial requirements of the project, evaluating quantities and developing relevant reports.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will
- Prepare contract templates based on the project contract documentation
- Assist the Project Manager to review contractual obligations and contract templates
- Advise client and relevant parties of notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and or supplier agreements required for the project
- Provide support to the Project Manager to prepare and forward relevant notices within designated timeframes
- Update and maintain notices of delay and extensions of time registers
- Notify client of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation)
- Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors highlighting relevant issues specific to the project
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in Quantity Surveying/Contracts Administration within the resources construction industry
- Working knowledge of Structural, Mechanical and Piping
