Civmec is currently seeking applications from highly capable and experienced Painter/Blasters for current opportunities in our Newcastle Fabrication facility.

Key accountabilities include:
• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filing holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing surfaces
• Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
• Applying paints, using brushes, rollers and sprays
• General cleaning of equipment and work areas
• Securing items to be sprayed within spray booths
• Directing spray guns to apply even coatings
• Cleaning nozzles, containers and hoses of equipment
You will:
• Display sound knowledge of the relevant painting standards
• Demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years’ experience blasting and painting
