SENIOR CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR/COMMERCIAL MANAGER

The opportunity
Civmec are currently seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator or Commercial Manager to join our project team, based at Ichthys in Darwin. This role is project based on a 3 / 1 roster.

This role reports to the Project Manager, contributing to the Commercial team.

Based on site until end December 2018 in Darwin
Largest Oil & Gas project in Australia

In a Senior Contracts Administrator/Commercial Manager role at Civmec, you will –
  • ·Support your project team to ensure the successful delivery of the commercial and contractual management aspects of civil, SMP and E+I construction projects
  • ·Coordinate day to day commercial aspects of the project, including variation claim management, notices of delay and time extensions
  • ·Be aware of potential commercial risks and advise the Project accordingly
  • ·Manage client and subcontractor variations, contractual claims and reporting
  • ·Management of junior Contracts Admin and project controls staff as required
  • ·Involvement in daily, weekly and monthly reporting

About You –
  • ·Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Commerce is essential
  • ·4+ years’ contracts experience within resource and mining construction projects is required, preferably on the contractor or EPC side
  • ·Ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally
  • ·Capability to face challenges, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
  • ·Strong communication and analytical skills will also be required
