collapse description expand description Opportunities currently exist for experienced Mining or Industrial Electricians to join the Allstate Recruitment team based in Mount Isa, QLD. These are strictly residential positions in Mount Isa, QLD with a generous relocation allowance payable to successful applicants.
To be successful, you will need to have had 2+ years experience in a Mining or Industrial type role, hold a current Queensland Electrical License; current valid Drivers Licence, LVR and CPR Certifications; National Police Clearance, as well as be able to pass ongoing Medical and Drug & Alcohol Testing. 

These are Mon-Fri positions with some weekend work as required.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • servicing, maintenance and fault finding of electrical equipment 
  • cable runs (HV and LV) and installations (construction, instrumentation, HV etc); and
  • shutdowns and project work.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
  • a commitment to a ZERO harm culture;
  • an excellent understanding of mining and electrical standards;
  • previous mining or industrial experience in a similar role;
  • be a self-starter who is reliable, honest and takes pride in your work;
  • the ability to work both as a member of a team, as well as independently;
  • the ability to provide shift coverage as required; and
  • HV / switching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
