CB&I has been awarded the contract for the installation of the OSBL modules on the Wheatstone Project and as a result we are currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled, experienced Boilermaker Welders.

CB&I has been awarded the contract for the installation of the OSBL modules on the Wheatstone Project. Located at Ashburton North, 12km west of Onslow in Western Australia the project will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum and a domestic gas plant.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled, experienced Boilermaker Welders to join this Project.

Accommodation: Camp accommodation on site
Point of Hire: Perth, Western Australia
Transport: Fly In/Fly Out ex Perth
Project Roster: Four weeks on, one week off, 10 hours per day, 13 day fortnight

Successful applicants will be required to meet the following requirements:

• Complete a 2G, 3G and 4G SMAW weld test using a low hydrogen electrode and carbon steel plate;
• Experience with welding in the FCAW Process
• Must be able to pass a trade specific theory test;
• Trade Qualification in Engineering (Heavy Fabrication) or Equivalent qualification;
• Demonstrate at least 3 years post qualification recent experience as a Boilermaker Welder in a Construction Industry;
• Ability to prepare, weld, install, modify or remove steel components per applicable drawings, codes and other requirements; and
• Ability to read detailed construction drawings.
• The ability to work pro-actively in a safe work environment
• A strong commitment to achieving company milestones
