CB&I are currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled, experienced Special Class Welders for the Wheatstone (Tanks) Project.

CB&I has been awarded the contract for the installation of the Miscellaneous Tanks on the Wheatstone Project. Located at Ashburton North, 12km west of Onslow in Western Australia the project will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum and a domestic gas plant. 

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled, experienced Welders to join this Project. 

Accommodation : Camp accommodation on site
Transport : Fly In/Fly Out
Project Roster : Four weeks on, one week off, 10 hours per day, 13 day fortnight 

Successful applicants will be required to meet the following requirements:

• Ability to pass a weld test in SMAW and FCAW process 2G, 3G and 4G, to 100% x-ray standard
• 3+ years experience with SMAW and FCAW 
• Experience with SAW (is advantageous)
• Experience with AGW or AVW (is advantageous)
• Experience in constructing storage tanks and working with heavy carbon steel plate is required 
• Experience working in the oil and gas industry is advantageous; however experience across heavy industry and resources sectors is also desirable.
• Experience working on construction projects, preferably in remote locations
• The ability to work pro-actively in a safe work environment
• A strong commitment to achieving company milestones
