In light of our continued growth, Civmec is currently seeking applications for an experienced SMP Estimator to join our Estimating team based in Henderson. Reporting to the Lead SMP Estimator, this position will be suitable for someone with a broad range of SMP project experience.
Position includes:
- Reviewing tender documentation to determine scope and specific terms and conditions
- Preparing and coordinating subcontract components required for tender submissions
- Developing construction methodology identifying synergies and savings
- Obtaining highly competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services
- Undertaking accurate material take-offs and calculation of man hour estimates, and mobilisation / demobilisation costs
- Assisting with construction scheduling and planning
- Demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar role, working with engineering and construction contractors in the construction, mining and resource industries on large scale projects
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with their co-workers and management
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or quantity surveying
