This position will manage all elements of the installation of reinforced concrete post tensioned storage tanks and will report directly to the Senior Project Engineer.

Civil Project Engineer – Reinforced & Post Tensioned Concrete

Civmec is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Project Engineerfor the WP180 Alliance Project. This position will manage all elements of the installation of reinforced concrete post tensioned storage tanks and will report directly to the Senior Project Engineer.

The role includes:
  • Liaising with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Understanding and implementing quality control techniques, testing requirements, creation and management of work-packs
  • Material take-offs, requisitions, and quantity reconciliation
  • Management of as-built records
  • Managing and liaising with precast concrete fabrication yard.
  • Preparation and issue of weekly status reports
  • Monitor and review design changes to assess the effect on project budget and schedule
  • Assist in the preparation of progress claims and variations
  • Attend regular progress meetings with both internal and external project stakeholders
  • Preparation of work schedules to support overall programme and commissioning milestones
About you:
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil engineering
  • Experience/ Knowledge in reinforced and post tensioned concrete
  • Previous project experience on construction projects ideally in the infrastructure sector
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
