Our current opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a site based DIDO local opportunity based in the Peel Region with strong minerals process plant construction experience.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Liaise with client representatives regarding technical design queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
- Conduct material take-offs for mechanical, structural and piping works
- Conduct weekly meetings
- Compile and issue variations
- Assist with preparing the project budget and schedule
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
- Possess a Mechanical Engineering or relevant Degree in a related engineering discipline
- Minimum five years design engineering experience with a reputable SMP Contractor or EPC
- Previous site-based SMP construction experience associated with process plant facilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a high pressure environment.
