Position: Payroll Officer

Civmec are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable payroll officer to join their payroll team in our head office based in Henderson, WA.

We have a current opening for an enthusiastic, hardworking Payroll Officer to join our team for a 12 month maternity cover. This is a great opportunity to expand upon your existing payroll skills in a diverse, rewarding environment.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Prepare, calculate and reconcile payments for wage and salary based staff
• Reconciliation of annual leave, LSL, sick leave, redundancy and productivity accruals as required
• Deal with general payroll enquiries
• Maintaining staff records
• Maintain current award updates and payroll adjustments

Our ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills. They will also have sound payroll knowledge, particularly regarding working with awards, enterprise agreements, taxation and superannuation. Candidates should also have the following:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar payroll officer position
• Proven working experience in the construction industry or similar
• Exposure to large payroll system
• A high level of attention to detail
• Strong data entry capability
• Excellent Excel skills
