Contracts Administrator - Jemena

Civmec are looking for expression of interest applications for future work.
Generally positions are FIFO on 3 / 1 rosters, and will join our dedicated project teams on mining, resources, oil and gas, and, defence projects across Australia

Support your project team to ensure the successful delivery of the commercial and contractual management aspects of civil, SMP and E+I construction projects
  • Coordinate day to day commercial aspects of the project, including variation claim management, notices of delay and time extensions
  • Be aware of potential commercial risks and advise the Project accordingly
  • Manage client and subcontractor variations, contractual claims and reporting
About You –
  • Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Commerce is essential
  • 4+ years’ contracts experience within resource and mining construction projects is required, preferably on the contractor or EPC side
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally
  • Capability to face challenges, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills will also be required
Civmec has been awarded a significant contract by Jemena Northern Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd (Jemena) including camp setup, site civil, steel fabrication and the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation (SMPEI) installation works at the Phillip Creek Compressor Station (PCCS) for Jemena’s Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project, located near Tennent Creek in the Northern Territory, Australia.
The pipeline is being built to transport 90 terajoules of gas per day to Mount Isa, and runs through Sandy Warby’s cattle station, Phillip Creek station, which also has the compressor station positioned on it. The scope of work includes the establishment of an in excess 200-man camp, site civil works, steel fabrication and SMPEI works.
In summary, the packages contain the following equipment:
  • Inlet filter coalescer, inlet flow meter and fuel gas skids;
  • Residue gas compressors (two off) C50 with aftercoolers;
  • Export gas compressors (two off) T60 with aftercoolers;
  • Gas Treatment Equipment inclusive of nitrogen removal (GTE);
  • Hot oil package;
  • Control Room/switchroom;
  • Gas Engine Alternator (GEA)
  • Instrument air and nitrogen packages;
  • Gas Chromatograph;
  • Vent system with knockout drums and flare;
  • Site office, amenities and workshop; and
  • Balance of Plant (BOP) piping, instrumentation, equipment and structures.
With works commenced, the project will require more than 160 personnel to be employed at its peak, with completion scheduled for August 2018.
